VetSmart is the engagement of Union League members with expertise, industry experiences, business/technical skills, training knowledge and many other life experiences to create and lead a special professional development event for Delaware Valley veterans.
In the early months of 2015, the VetSmart Committee is working with our veteran service organization partners to conduct a needs assessment that will identify the types of business/technical skills that are the most valuable to Delaware Valley veterans. Based on the results of this assessment, the Committee will work to match the resources of Union League members to create a conference to deliver content and experience to meet those needs.
The VetSmart professional conference is planned to be a day-long forum comprised of seminars and short topic workshops on a diversity of professional and vocational topics of interest and high impact to veterans for their developmental journey. Union League members will manage this event by developing and presenting content as well as integrating resources from local veteran services organization partners to create a unique opportunity for local veterans.
